A Daily Devotional About telling the truth about hate… Proverbs 12:13 A evil man is trapped by his sinful talk, but a righteous man escapes trouble. (NIV) Hate is the absence
of God expressed in human thought and behavior. Hate murders the self while
taking others down with the hate. A human being turned inward without the chance to
turn outward will hate. When people turn inward what they find is a depressing,
revolting, sin-filled heart. Hate can be passed down from one generation to the
next. Hate can be generated or inspired in a human being who always gets
whatever the person wants whenever the person wants. Spoiled brats learn to
hate early in life. We all need to learn very quickly we cannot have whatever we
want whenever we want. If we are older, we need to learn to be happy with
nothing except the presence of Jesus in our heart. How we live with the truth of
not having what we want determines how happy or hateful we will be. We can learn
to do without what we think we want and need. Doing without, we are still able
to love others. Doing without, we can defeat hatred in our life. In heaven,
hatred does not exist. In heaven, our soul turns outward toward God. In heaven,
our soul is immersed in love and selfless devotion for God who is love. |
