A Daily Devotional This Devotional Is Related To Dependency And Co-dependency Issues. Rules Of Godly Common Sense Apply. About telling yourself things will be better tomorrow: 2 Peter 3:13 But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness. (NIV) All of us need to look for the light in the darkness. However, sometimes we tell ourselves things will be better tomorrow and then we quit preparing for tomorrow. Worse still, we tell ourselves things will be better tomorrow in order to escape fixing issues today. Being an optimist about tomorrow does not mean we are supposed to ignore what tomorrow may bring. Too often, people tell themselves things will be better tomorrow in order to avoid responsibilities today. With Christ, things will not just be better in the future, things will be great in the future! In order to glorify Christ, we must be realistic and go for victory when we face the darkness. To be victorious, we must expect victory and we must then pursue victory with Christ's game plan. Telling yourself you will win tomorrow or things will be better tomorrow, is not enough. To achieve victory takes preparation and hard work today. Our victory in Christ means we are to work hard and never quit. |
