About the glorious truth…

Matthew 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. (NIV)

Beneath the surface of life, the truth of what happens in life is this; a sinister dark power (the evil one) will eventually kill you. This truth is a horrible terrible truth. This horrible terrible truth has the appearance of total defeat. Beneath the surface of life, the truth of what happens in life is the sinister evil one delights when death comes to any person on earth. In order to handle this horrible terrible truth and this monstrous evil in life we too often deny evil exists and we do not look beneath the surface. When we have the courage to look beneath the surface of what happens in life, we do indeed see the sinister dark power of the evil one causing pain, accidents, disease, cancer, misfortune, death, and adversity of every kind. However, beneath the surface of life there is another truth. There is beneath the surface of life a glorious truth and the glorious truth is this; there is a glorious way to avoid death. There is a glorious way to live forever. There is a glorious way to live forever by accepting and embracing the truth and love of Christ. Christ came to set you free from the threat of death. When you see how the power of evil has corrupted your heart, turn away from the power of evil and turn to Christ. Accept the truth you alone, in your sin, were responsible for crucifying Christ upon the cross. Accept Christ really did die for you upon the Cross. Accept Christ died for you upon the Cross because He really does love you beyond measure. Accept Christ forgives you of all you have ever thought, said, or done not in His will. Accept Christ now holds His arms open and calls you to come to Him to feel the full embrace of His glorious and enveloping love and grace. For when you accept Him, and accept Him, and accept Him some more, your death has been defeated by Christ and your eternal and glorious life has been won for you.
