A Daily Devotional This Devotional Is Related To Dependency And Co-dependency Issues. Rules Of Godly Common Sense Apply. About
times when people become impatient or angry with you because of your codependent
behaviors.. 2
Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my
power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more
gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. (NIV) We all make mistakes and we all fall down. Some of us can exhibit dependent or codependent behaviors more than others. Some of us can exhibit more of these behaviors because of our upbringing and background. If you are aware you exhibit destructive or self-destructive behaviors, then get help, get fixed, and do so now. No one has any excuse why they must live under a dysfunctional cloud unless they want to live with excuses and do not want to change. Having said this, other people who become angry with you because of your dysfunctional behaviors may be angry with you for valid reasons. If people get angry with you and you feel their anger is unjustified, go to an unbiased source like a pastor/counselor and get feedback. You may or may not like the feedback you get so you should at least be prepared for some honest truth. Conversely, other people may be showing you impatience and anger for their own selfish reasons. In any case, getting feedback from an unbiased source is an important thing to do in this instance. In all matters and in all ways, live in the truth of Christ because He is our strength and our power. |
