A Daily Devotional About the touch of God upon your soul… Luke 15:7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent. (NIV) Your soul sits idly
by and lets you run your life like you want. Your soul is your thinking, living,
breathing being living within your body. Your body is a container into which God
poured your soul. When you die, your soul will leave your earthly frame to come
before God. When you stand before God you will undergo an evaluation or judgment
about how you lived according to God's expectations. The very touch of God upon
your soul gives your soul the power to glimpse into infinity. God's touch upon
your soul gives your heart God's infinite love. God's touch upon your soul gives
you the idea in every dark circumstance there is hope. The touch of God gives
you hope when all rational thought of your rational mind tells you there is no
hope. Your spirit rises in triumph when your defeat appears virtually certain,
all because God is present in your soul. The touch of God calls you to repent
and turn back to Him when you have gone astray. |
