A Daily Devotional About trusting God because Christ came to us… John 6:38 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. 39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. (NIV) God sent Christ to die for us so we would then trust God enough to open our life and open our heart up to Him. When we do not trust God very much, we do not open our heart or life up to Him. When we do not trust God very much, the love pouring out from Him does not fill our heart. When we do not trust God very much, our life is a cycle of trying to figure God out, never really figuring God out, and not trusting Him because we have not figured Him out. If we are to know God, if we are to know Christ, we must be able to trust Him. If we accept Christ did indeed truly die on the cross, just for us, just for each of us individually as if we were the only person on earth, we have a reason to trust God. |
