24:31 Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared
from their sight. (NIV) Turning your world around sounds impossible doesn't it? The world turns on its own. Events define history. To say you can change the events defining history sounds ludicrous. However, you can change the world within you. You can change from seeing the darkness to seeing the light. You can change from seeing ugliness to seeing beauty. In yourself and in your life, you can see achievement instead of failure. With prayer, you can begin to see people and events the way Jesus sees them. How Christ sees you and how He sees your world is not such a mystery. You know already He sees everything in love. You know already He sees everything in peace. You know already He sees everything in terms of the great potential you have within you. In terms of world events, the world's worst tyrants, terrorists, murderers, and killers had parents or other people in their life. If those parents and other people had been different the world could be different. If you are more like Christ, the hearts you touch can turn your world around. Pray for a touching heart, a heart touching others as Christ touches. Pray for eyes to see the fallen as totally redeemable. Pray for ears to hear the crying out of the lost for a home only Christ can build. |
