understanding God… 1 Corinthians 13:9 For we know
in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when perfection comes, the imperfect
disappears. (NIV) In
all of our study, prayer, and meditation about God, we do not understand much
about Him. At the same time, we sometimes understand more about God than we do
ourselves. As much as we know from His Word, we understand only a miniscule part
of Him. We understand God is in Heaven, while we are on the Earth. We understand
Christ is Heaven, Christ is on earth, and Christ is within us. We understand God
is love but we cannot touch Him whenever we want. However, we can let God touch
us. We understand God loves us while we live in a world where many others could
care less about Him. We understand God sent His only Son to die for us because
He loves us. We are humbled and brought to our knees before Him because of His
love. We understand God wants us to give our old life to Him so He can give us a
new life in return. We understand we see God only in part but we know we will
someday see Him face to face. Most of all, we understand God is love. |
