A Daily Devotional About an upward heart: Deuteronomy 4:29 But if from there you
seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your
heart and with all your soul. (NIV) Our heart is often sad and
downcast because of circumstances in our life. The circumstances in our life may
not be the best. In very sad and downcast moments, we must remember to turn to
God. When our heart is cast down in sadness and depression, we must turn our
heart toward God. We must listen intently for Christ's quiet and tender voice
calling us to His side. When our heart is full of sadness and grief, we must
turn toward Christ's redeeming love and hope. When our heart is closed off from
God's presence, we must trust God to touch us as we open our heart to His tender
and uplifting touch. When our heart is pulled down, we can trust in Christ who
will pull our heart upward toward His clouds of glory. When our heart is
troubled, we can always turn our worried soul to Christ who will fill us with
His unfailing love. |
