About an upward mind…

Many of our thoughts are too often upon the world and the daily cares of life. As our days fly by at increasing speed, our thoughts are too often upon the mundane, the meaningless, and the trite. We must remember we can control the direction of our mind. We must remember we can control what we think. We can control the object of our thought. We can voluntarily turn our mind upward toward God. We can voluntarily turn our mind upward toward His great wisdom and truth. When we think too long about the darkness of the world, we can turn our mind upward to see His love beaming down upon us. When we think too long about ourselves and our troubles, we must make every effort to turn our mind upward so we can see God's mighty power pouring down over our life. We can voluntarily turn our mind upward so we can see how His will can be used to turn every minute of our life into a minute showing His love, His grace, and His glory.
