A Daily Devotional About wages of the hard road of Christ… Romans 6:22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (NIV) Whether we work for earthly monetary wages or not, we all get paid in the end. Some people live their life in devout godliness. These devout persons will be paid for their hard work of staying true to the calling of Christ upon their life. Each day you can listen to God tell you how much He loves you. Or, you can listen to Satan's appealing call to turn away from God. When you walk Satan's easy path, there is a payday. The easy path of sin leads to a never-ending darkness for you. The hard road of Christ leads to a time of unending joy, unending peace, and unending happiness. Even in this life, when you walk the path of Christ you find a present and future where joy, peace, and happiness with Christ are always within you. Survey the wonders of God in His creation upon the earth. Survey the wonders of His love within your heart. Be swept up in His touch of the divine upon your life. Be immersed in His love each day. |
