A Daily Devotional About what is worldly and what is spiritual… Luke 12:29 And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. 30 For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. 31 But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well. (NIV) We know we need food and drink. We know and God knows we need the basic necessities of life. To live more fully each day, where we put our heart determines the fullness of our life. Worrying about what is worldly carries a heavy price. Worldly worries cause human greed to set in and then our hunger and thirst increase beyond normal limits. Where we put the focus of our seeking determines the outcome of our faith and life. If we put the focus of our seeking upon worldly materials, our life will end up being empty because worldliness always leads to an empty life. However, if we put the focus of our seeking upon what is spiritual then we will reap a bounty of spiritual blessings. Most importantly, the extra energy you receive from being full of spiritual blessings will add to your ability to gather or produce an excess of food and drink. |
