About when God's love does not solve the problem… 1 Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he
may lift you up in due time. 7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for
you. (NIV) Without God's love there are problems. Without God's love there is emptiness,
bitterness, envy, and a life full of torment. There may be times in your life
when God's love does not solve your problems. God's love may not
solve your problems because God's will for you may be you are to solve some
problems rather than having God solve your problems for you. In the faith world
in which some of us live and work, we commonly believe God's love is
supposed to do anything and everything. The reality of things is no matter
how much we love God, no matter how much God loves us, no matter how much love
there is in our life or in our world, problems remain. When problems remain, we
must still love and trust in God's love. When problems remain, we must take
responsibility upon our shoulders and work to fix or solve our problems. Our
reality is constructed in such a way we all have problems no matter what we
do or who we are. We all have problems but we must never let our problems have
us. We must never let our problems become excuses for other problems we make, or
for other problems we let happen. What God's love does accomplish when we have
problems is enable us to try to fix the problems. What God's love does
accomplish when we have problems is give us the power to make choices about
doing what is right in the eyes of God. When we do what is right in the eyes of
God our problems eventually melt away, our life eventually changes into His life
for us, and our eyes turn toward our time in Heaven's eternity…a time when our
burdens are lifted forever. |
