5) Romans 1:11 I long to see you so that I
may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong-- 12 that is, that you
and I may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith. (NIV) At the heart of every
problem, conflict, sin, and difficulty, there is a larger problem. The larger
problem is we move through life alone. In moving through our life alone, we
bounce from one minute, hour, week, month, and year to the next. No one is
immune to loneliness. We can own the whole world, the world's gold, silver, diamonds, and we can still
feel the pain of loneliness. We can be in abject poverty, near
starvation, and still feel the pain of loneliness. When we are lonely, money is not a friend. In
some ways, money can be an enemy in loneliness. Too often, money provides
deathly ways of assuaging the pain of loneliness. Although you might think you are alone or have been alone, you were always with Someone. When you thought you were just by yourself, Someone was there with you. When you go out for a walk, or go out shopping by yourself, Someone is with you. When you are in the car by yourself, Someone is there with you. The truth is�you have never been alone. You are not alone now. You will never be alone in the future because Someone named Jesus is with you. |
