A Daily Devotional About
when
you cannot connect to God… Your great adversary in life, the great adversary who will come and take away your bodily life, wants to cut you off from God. Your great adversary will stop at nothing to destroy your faith and destroy you. Your great adversary will stop at nothing to sever every tie you have binding your heart to God. When you are attacked by your great adversary you must mount a strong defense and respond with a strong offense. When your connection to God no longer exists because you have been attacked, you must keep on praying. When you cannot connect to God, in your heart of hearts, you must remember God is still for you and He is still right next to you. When your connection to God has been cut off, you must resolve never to leave Him and you must pledge to always be the person God wants you to be. Your greatest defense against the enveloping darkness is prayer. Your greatest offense against the darkness is to love others in the same way Christ loves you. What you give away to God in humble prayer will always come back to you from God. What you give away to others in Christ’s love and grace will always come back to you. To be Christ’s humble child does not require a mountain of faith on your part. To be Christ’s humble child requires only a tiny seed of faith, a wisp of faith, a mere thought of faith. When you cannot connect to God, you must trust Him to be where He has always been and where He will always be…within your heart. |
