A Daily Devotional About when you can't walk alone John 5:7 "Sir," the invalid replied, "I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me." 8 Then Jesus said to him, "Get up! Pick up your mat and walk." 9 At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked. (NIV) There are many times in our walk on the path of our life we think we do not have the power or the strength to walk by ourselves. From all the outward appearances of our life, we seem to be very weak and feeble. Our limbs may not work well. Our bodies may ache. Our ability to do normal and everyday things may be diminished. From all outward appearances our life may seem to be filled with obstacles preventing us from walking forward by ourselves. However, God will never ever desert us if we will trust Him just a little. God will never desert us and He will always be with us, no matter how powerless we might think we are. For if there is a place in the will of God, there is in the will of God a place where you never walk alone. In the will of God, He wills for you to always be with Him and for Him to always be with you. The truth is, we cannot walk alone on the path of our life. The truth is, we all need God to walk with us and be our guide and shepherd. The truth is, we all need to open our heart up to His touch. The truth is, He is always telling us we can get up and walk. The truth is, He always has been and always will be with us forever. |
