A Daily Devotional About where you are in life… Matthew 18:14 In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost. (NIV) We are often very far away from our Lord and we may not know of our distance from Him. Like a little toddler who wanders away from a parent, all of us have wandered away from our Father in heaven. A little toddler who wanders away from a parent may not know he or she is lost. All of us are like the little toddler. All of us have wandered away from our Father and we may not know we are lost. The little toddler can be in danger and can need someone to watch over him or her. All of us, especially when we are lost, are also in danger of falling prey to the evil one who desires to devour us. All of us need someone to watch over us. All of us must realize and fully know we are lost. Once we know we are lost, we can look to Christ. Christ we can discover we are found. Quite often we do not know where we are in life. We may not know how far away from God we have wandered. However, if we listen to God's still small voice we can find Him because He is always seeking us out. Although the world does not care about whether we are lost or not, Christ cares. In the heart of Christ we find infinite sadness over any of His lambs who have gone astray. In the heart of Christ we find infinite joy when one of His lambs turns to Him and is found. |
