Jesus speaks to you every second you are alive. Jesus speaks to you. For all the days of your life He has told you to love others. Jesus has told you to love others not because of you, but because of them. Of course, there is a benefit to you in loving others. Selfishly speaking, you do benefit. However, when you truly look at others, you can see why Jesus calls you to love them. Look at their heart of hearts. Look at their emptiness. Look at their loneliness. Look at their frustration. Look at their anger. Look at their sin. Look at their desperation. Even His servants who commit their life to Him need your love. Even the leaders in His kingdom need your love. Look deep and see the tragedy life so easily becomes in all the people you know. When you pause for just a moment and you look beyond the exterior of the people in your life, when you see their heart and soul, you will see how all of them and each of them needs your love in Christ. |
