A Daily Devotional About a willingness to die every day… 1 Corinthians 15:30 And as for us, why do
we endanger ourselves every hour? 31 I die every day--I mean that,
brothers--just as surely as I glory over you in Christ Jesus our Lord. 32 If I
fought wild beasts in Even in an age of
consumerism and "taking care of number one", there are people willing
to die for others. Firefighters, law enforcement personnel, our military men and
women, and rescue personnel are willing to die to save others. In a different
way, Christ died to save you and others. Christians are called by Christ to let the old
self, full of sin and pride, die each day. Each of us is at war with Satan. In
the end, Satan will take us down by killing our body's ability to sustain life.
However, in the war over our soul, there is spiritual victory. In our spiritual
war, we must not turn back. Yes, we must endure suffering, but in this war, we
have won the victory through Christ who died for each of us. |
