A Daily Devotional This Devotional Is Related To Dependency And Co-dependency Issues. Rules Of Godly Common Sense Apply. About wondering why you can't get things done because of others and circumstances… Psalms 19:14 May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. (NIV) All of us lead busy lives. Our time seems to grow shorter every week. We too often try to do too much in too short a period of time. We let people and circumstances diminish us to the point of our becoming inefficient. We all need to step back during the day and take a real survey of who we are, where we are, and where God is in our life. We will get more done if we step back a few times during the day and see God's forest rather than being buried in the trees of our own making. We will get more done if we put the behavior of others aside for a few moments and say a short prayer for them. We will get more done if we start living like God is for us rather than against us. Much of our life can be a dark illusion we create. Our dark illusions melt away when we see how all goodness, love, mercy, and compassion flows down from heaven. After we see the reality of God's beauty, then the problems of others and our troubling circumstances take on a newer, lesser importance in our life. |
