14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes
to the Father except through me. (NIV) Everyone has a place in eternity. However, the question about your eternity is not if you are going to live forever. The question is WHERE you are going to live forever. You can choose this very minute whether you live forever in Heaven or live forever in hell. You make the decision about where you spend eternity by choosing Christ or rejecting Christ. You are the person who makes the decision. When you die, God and you will look at your choice and you go where you chose to go when you were alive. Everyone chooses their eternity. The methods, procedures, theologies, and circumstances of a person’s choosing can be different. Perhaps the best question about eternity might be “Where do you want to go? What are you willing to give up to get to where you want to go?” Many people want to give up nothing for God while they fully expect, even demand, to get something back from God. In our life we must be willing to pay a price to receive or achieve. Although Christ paid the ultimate price for us by dieing for us on the Cross, He still expects us to be mature enough to surrender all we are to Him in order to gain eternal life with Him. |
