A Daily Devotional
About being kept in Heaven:
1 Peter 1:4 an
inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade--kept in heaven for you, 5 who
through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that
is ready to be revealed in the last time. (NIV)
All things change. The face of earth has changed over the eons of earth's existence. All of us change as people. We get older as the years pass by. Even as a baby, we start changing at the moment of our birth. No matter how much we might want to keep a time, place, thing, or person in our life the same, all the parts of our life change. We cannot truly possess the times, places, things, and people of our life. However, there is more to our world than what we see. In the Kingdom of God , there is a place called Heaven'the place where God, His Son, and all God's magnificent angelic beings reside. In Heaven, we have a future. In Heaven, we have an inheritance of peace, hope, joy, and a soaring spirit lasting forever. In Heaven, there is no darkness, pain, suffering, or hopelessness. We cannot know the dimensions of our heavenly inheritance, for Heaven has no dimensions. Heaven is infinite. We do know Heaven is a place where God lives and in Heaven, love is infinite.
