About being kind to the poor…

Proverbs 19:17 He who is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward him for what he has done.

Most people who are poor are not poor because they want to be poor but because of decisions either they made or because of decisions others made for them. Every day we all make decisions of various kinds. We decide what we will do with our time, we decide what we will eat, what we will wear, and where we will go. Many of the poor have never been taught lessons on how decisions today have an impact on them tomorrow. By being kind to the poor on a continual basis (not once or twice a year) we give them a chance to see how being a Christian can alter their life. We can show them the results of making good decisions instead of bad decisions. The Lord needs you to show His love to others, especially those who may never have seen the love of God in action. Today, do an anonymous act for someone who truly needs to make contact with our Lord.
