About breaking the rules:

Matthew 25: 45 "He will reply, `I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.' 46 "Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life." (NIV)

There are rules for life. We can obey or break these rules. When you break a law of your city, state, or nation and you are caught, there is usually a punishment meted out. God institutes rules or laws to keep our reality in tact. When we break these rules there are consequences. However, with God, we can break His laws and very often we do not see a readily apparent punishment. With God, there is always a consequence associated with breaking God's laws and commandments. Whether we readily see the consequences of breaking God's laws, we want to believe even if we break His laws and commandments His love overrides our error. We want to believe God is so forgiving no matter what we do, God will forgive us. We want to believe there are no consequences when we break His laws. What we must remember is how His love brought the laws into existence in the first place. His rules are assembled because He loves us. God wants to see us spiritually prosper as His child. When we break His rules or laws, there is no spiritual prosperity in our life.
