About mysteries beyond our knowledge…

We live in a technological world under threats of evil. We depend so heavily on our science and technology and consider our technology so powerful science and technology have become like a god. The Magi or wise men, who had traveled from another part of their known world in search of the newborn Christ, ended up following a moving star. Even the common people of those times knew stars and lights did not move in the sky under these kinds of conditions. Yet, these men who were not simpletons, were doing a very simple thing. These men were following a moving star. They trusted in God to let His mysterious actions lead them. In our technological world, we must learn to trust God. In a world priding itself on being able to invent itself around every problem, we must realize there are problems fully requiring God's power and intervention. There are difficulties in our life and in our world requiring we invest our trust in God. The birth of Christ is God's way of telling us to trust Him.
