About finding and doing God's will…

Matthew 2:12 And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route. 13 When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. "Get up," he said, "take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him." (NIV)

The Lord works in people's lives. Sometimes God uses angels as messengers. Sometimes God uses dreams. Sometimes God does not work in ways we know anything about because He is invisible and hidden. When faced with mortal danger, most of us would want a dramatic warning of impending peril. Quite often, we already know of dangers in our future if we just take a moment and look within our heart. What is important in our life is for us to follow the Lord's direction. What is important in our life is for us to do what the Lord wants us to do, rather than doing what we want to do. The Lord has left us His written words and if we are willing He instills in us His love. When we want to know what His for our life, we can look into His gospel record, The Bible, and then look into our heart.
