About the creator of Heaven: Genesis 14:18 Then Melchizedek king of
Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High, 19 and he
blessed Abram, saying, "Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of
heaven and earth." (NIV) Heaven was created by God.
Perhaps we too often think Heaven was always there. However, according to this
verse and according to Genesis 1:1 there was a time when Heaven did not exist.
God created all that is. God continues to create the moments of your life and
the opportunities you have each day. God places opportunities in your life each
day to glorify His name and glorify His work and love within you. In your life,
God can be glorified in every circumstance. God was glorified when Christ died
on the Cross. In the most horrible moment in the history of the world, God was
glorified by Christ's suffering and death. In your life, even the most horrible
of moments can be used to glorify Him. You can glorify God if you have the
intent and the will to look up to Him when the darkness of the world wants you
to ignore Him, curse Him, and mock Him.
