A Daily Devotional
About finding courage from the LordPsalm 23:4 I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. (NIV)
When you place your whole heart, soul, and mind in the Lords hands, then God gives you a confidence to overcome fear. This does not mean your fear goes away. However, what the statement does mean is you can act regardless of the fear. Courage is acting or being able to act in spite of our fear. When the Lord is with you then you have a supernatural ability to face fears, doubts, anxieties, and insecurities keeping you from acting. Gods supernatural power temporarily pushes these dark forces aside and then you can act even when you are afraid. When you act, even when you are afraid, then you have courage.
