About the friendship of Christ:

John 15:15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. (NIV))

Christ's love requests you permit His love to be at the center of your life. Of course, you can ignore His request. However, God does not make requests of you unless His requests are for your own benefit. When God requests you let Him be at the center of your life, you become friends with Christ. Friends share everything. They share the good and bad. They are always there for each other. With Christ, there is never a separation from Him unless you turn away from Him. With Christ, you are never alone and never lonely. With Christ, you have wisdom and truth available to you only as God can give wisdom and truth. When you do what His love demands, no matter what happens in your life, Christ will always be your treasured friend.
