About the Kingdom within you…

Matthew 6:33  But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. (NIV)

When we read this verse, we can envision a person spending years of their life searching the earth for spiritual truth and wisdom. However, the Kingdom of God is immediate. The Kingdom can be in your heart in an instant. The Kingdom can be in your mind in a flash. The Kingdom can be in your consciousness so fast you cannot measure how long the Kingdom takes to arrive. You do not need to travel the globe searching for some special temple, special fountain, or a holy shrine. The love and presence of God is within you this instant. If you want to think of the love and presence of God as in a place, think of the presence of God as just left of the center of your heart. (If you are a conservative think of it as being to the right.) He is real within you. He abounds within you. When you search for the Holy Spirit within you, He will be there. We get caught up in the busyness of this world. We are sometimes caught up in the pain, suffering, troubles, and strife of the world. We are sometimes caught up in our goals and ambitions. We are sometimes distracted by temptations. However, when you look within you this instant, you will find God in an instant. And, when you find Him, you will find His riches and blessings beyond measure.
