Hearing words of advice from someone is not enough. Someone can tell you how to fix your car. You can listen carefully. You can remember every word. However, if you do not follow the directions then you and your car may be in trouble. In fact, you and your car could be in even bigger trouble than when you started the repair if you do not follow the directions. Likewise, in doing the will of God, living as God wants you to live, or living a godly life, we must be more than knowledgeable about God’s will. In our life, we must DO God’s will. When we both hear and do God’s will with all our heart, all our soul, and all our might then God will pour His bountiful blessings upon us. Obviously, doing God’s will is a lot more difficult than just knowing His will. Knowing how to fix your car is one thing, actually getting out the wrenches and pliers and doing the work is another. When you have the passion to live as He has called you to live, then He will bless you and keep you.
