A Daily Devotional

The power of Jesus' surrender to God's will was the power overcoming the darkness of the cross. If Jesus had not surrendered to the will of His Father in heaven, there would have been no cross. With no cross, the sin and evil in human beings would have been the dominant force upon the earth. If there had been no cross, you would have no hope for the future. If there had been no cross, you would be living in a dark, cold world without the light of His love and hope. In place of the sword representing war and power, we now live with the image of our beloved Savior who died innocently upon the Tree. Christ did all this for you. Christ died on the cross to save you, to rescue you, to redeem you, to see you born anew, and to keep you with Him for eternity.
