About reaching out to God:

Acts 17:27 God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.

All of us live in the secular world. As a respite from the darkness in the secular world, we retreat to Christian gatherings of worship. We go to a Bible study to learn more about God and His ways. God hopes and wills we should reach out to Him from the dark world in which we live. Although we live in a dark world, God wants us to seek Him out. Of course, God cannot force us to reach out to Him. God can, does, and will talk to us to get us to come to our spiritual senses. However, too often we do not listen to Him. Reaching out to God has to be our decision. Reaching out to God is the most important choice anyone will ever make. Reaching out to God in the middle of the pain, suffering, worry, anxiety, fear, doubt, and sometimes trauma of our life looks nearly impossible. Especially if we step back and look at our life from an objective point of view. However, all things are possible with God. Because all things are possible with God, you can reach out to Him. More importantly, you can reach BEYOND all your pain, suffering, worry, anxiety, fear, and doubt. You can not only reach out to God, you can reach beyond the darkness of this life to touch God as He touches you in return.
