Some people feel angry or emotionally hurt when their help is rejected or not effective. Feeling angry or emotionally hurt when others reject our help is caused by our weakness and selfishness. When we walk in the strength of Christ's love and others reject us, we move on and do not let the rejection bother us. We must all understand we cannot truly make someone accept our help any more than we cannot force someone to truly accept Christ. We can make an offer of help to others. However, if we are making our offer in strength, Christ's strength will act as a shield for us and we will not be offended when we suffer rejection. Christ offers all of us His help because He is strong. A life in shambles because a person rejects help is a life in shambles because the person rejecting is not being responsible in dealing with the darkness all of us must face. When we offer help in strength and we are rejected, the best we can do is to let the other person know we love him or her. We must let the other person know we are there for them if they need us, and we are praying for him or her.
