A Daily Devotional
This Devotional Is Related To Dependency And Co-dependency Issues. Rules Of Godly Common Sense Apply.
About trying to possess persons or things to make you happy:
Psalms 106:1 Praise the Lord. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. (NIV)
We cannot possess people. We cannot possess things. Even if we could possess persons and things, we could not possess them for long because our days are numbered. Persons or things cannot make you happy. Happiness comes from being grateful and giving thanks to God for the blessings God gives you, including the persons and things in your life. The world is constantly changing. No matter how much we try to possess persons or things, we fill our life with happiness not by possessing but by being thankful and grateful for the persons and things God has given us. Although we cannot possess persons or things, what we can possess in our heart is the love of God. The love of God is infinite and eternal. The love of God fills every part of our life, even our grief and sorrow.
