A Prayer About Being Eager To Do Good
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And
Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
Sometimes I let myself slip up and do not really exert myself to do good
for others.
Of course, I want to do good.
However, I am not always eager to do good.
Place in my heart a real eagerness to do good for all those around me.
Place in my heart a real eagerness to do good for you and for your work in
the world.
Show me when I do good, even if I should suffer for what is right, I am
still blessed.
Stir up within my heart a courage that goes beyond courage to do what is
right.
Stir up in my heart a passion to not be concerned about myself when I do
good but instead be concerned only about doing your blessed will.
If anyone should ask me why I am eager to do good, give me an answer with
words of gentleness and respect, full of hope and love.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely.
