A Christmas Prayer To Conquer The Darkness Of Life

Precious Lord Jesus,
You who were wrapped in swaddling cloths and placed in a manger�
I know you hear the words of my heart even when I have no words in my mouth.
I am grateful you understand me and love me in spite of my selfishness.
With your wisdom, I can be a conqueror over the darkness of life.
As I celebrate your birth, help me humbly show all those in my world your love for me is real.
Help me show the world you are real and how you love everyone just as you love me.
During this Christmas season, I have many burdens I must carry.
Help me face the fear, doubt, and insecurity confronting me.
As I gaze upon you in the manger, I seek your tender mercies to be alive within me.
To you I give all praise, honor, and glory.
In the name of Jesus Christ,
Born in the lowest of circumstances,
Who died on the cross between thieves,
To you I surrender my all.
Amen.
