A Christmas Prayer For Humility On Christmas

Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
May we celebrate this day by giving our heart first to you then to others.
May the gifts we give away be an expression of your love for us that we pass on to others.
May the gifts we open help us to open our life, our heart, and our being to you.
As we reach beneath the Christmas tree to grasp a gift, remind us to grasp for your forgiveness.
As we listen to the carols sung celebrating your birth, remind us of the glory of that first Christmas.
May our hearts be born anew and placed in your hands just as you were born and placed in the manger.
May our hearts and lives be gifts wrapped in your humility and love just as you were wrapped in swaddling clothes.
May our hearts and lives be a gift to others in your name just as your heart and life was a gift to us.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
