A Prayer About Faith Beyond Reason
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And
Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit, Precious Lord
Jesus, I love you.
I often have no reason to believe in you.
I often have no reason to have faith in you.
My life can be so brutal and mean I can turn into a person full of
skepticism and doubt about you.
My human reason may tell me there is no reason to believe you love me, but
my heart tells me otherwise.
My human reason may tell me you ignore me, but my heart tells me
otherwise.
My human reason may tell me you do not walk with me every hour, but my
heart tells me otherwise.
My human reason tells me there is no need in my life to listen to my
heart, but my heart tells me otherwise.
The truth about my life, about my ability to reason, and about my ability
to believe is I do believe, even in my unbelief.
The truth about my life is I am a person, a whole person, a whole being
with a heart, with a soul, with a spirit, and with the power to believe in
the seemingly unbelievable.
Thank you, Precious Lord Jesus, for giving me the power to have faith
beyond reason.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely.
