A Prayer About Inheriting The Eternal And Imperishable

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
Every physical thing I own will wear out, break down, or someday come to an end.
Yet I know in my faith there is for me an eternal and imperishable inheritance.
Everything on the earth is subject to change and destruction.
Yet I know in my faith everything you have made for me in heaven is imperishable and will last forever.
Although I live in a perishable world, in you and in your love, I know someday you will give to me the imperishable.
What I treasure today on the earth will be gone.
What I treasure today in you and in heaven will never pass away.
What I treasure today in you and in heaven will someday be magnified in your glory and love.
In your love and in your sight, may I be able to live each day so I am worthy to inherit what you have in store for me.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
