A Prayer To Live A Perfect Life

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
I would like to live a perfect life.
I would like to live a perfect life for you and not for myself.
I know I cannot live a perfect life, but I ask you to keep my heart pure so I can still want to always do all the right things in your eyes.
I know I cannot be perfect.
My need to be perfect is like a plague upon me at times.
I am so often disappointed in myself because I am not perfect.
However, you know me, and you know I fall way short of perfection.
So in your will and in your grace,
Help me accept I will not have the perfect job.
Help me accept I will not have a perfect mate or a perfect relationship.
Help me accept I will not have perfect things and perfect stuff.
Help me accept in good humor and in good taste my drive for things perfect is folly�for I know perfection does not exist except in you.
When I need perfection, help me see perfection in your love.
When I need perfection, help me see in your grace how all things are made perfect.
When I need perfection, help me see my sin is what separates me from you.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
