A Prayer For The Power To Start Over
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God,
Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
Look at this mess, Lord.
Look at the mess I have made of things.
Look at the mess of stuff piled upon me.
Right now, it seems everything in my life is lost.
Everything in my life is a shambles.
Everything I touch crumbles before my eyes.
Everything I hoped for and dreamed about is lost.
As I look at things now, there is no hope.
But wait, I hear you.
I hear you say to me to look up.
Yes Lord, I see you up there.
I see you smiling and laughing.
We do not think about you laughing.
What is so funny about the mess I am in?
What good could ever become of dust, dirt, and garbage?
Oh.
I did not think about living things growing in dust, dirt, and garbage.
Thank you, Lord.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely. Amen |
