A Prayer For The World

Precious Lord Jesus, Wonderful Holy Spirit, Awesome God, you are the creator of all human life.
On every continent, in every region where you have placed your human creation, bring upon this world your goodness and love.
In every nation on earth, bring a new day full of hope.
In every heart of every leader, bring unselfishness and a desire to see only the good of God come into being.
In all the ways you can, bring peace to the earth.
Bring an end to war.
Bring an end to ego.
Bring an end to famine, pestilence, drought, and natural disasters.
In your mighty hand, dash all evil to the underworld and keep all darkness in the outer darkness where evil belongs.
As the heart of the simple people of the earth cry out to you, hear their cry.
In the simple and humble folk of the world, pour out your grace.
In the heart and mind of the weak, lame, and infirm, pour out a knowledge of your saving power and a vision of your being.
In those who have turned away from you, put a shaking fear of evil.
Although we have erred and gone our own way as a race of beings, remind all of us how you love us and care for us.
Renew in all human beings of the earth a sense of your presence.
Give every soul living upon this orb the vision of your Son hanging upon the Cross for each of us.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of the most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, the Mighty God, and the Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom we can rely. Amen.
