A Prayer To See Past The Surface Of Life

Precious Father,
Precious Lord Jesus,
Wonderful Holy Spirit,
O Precious All In All,
Let me see past the surface of things.
Let me see past the materialism of the world.
Let me see past the brick, mortar, and stone appearing so substantial.
Let me see a glimpse of your almighty power and force keeping all things together.
Let me see a glimpse of your power keeping atomic particles moving to and fro.
Let me see a glimpse of your power moving the oceans.
Let me see a glimpse of your hand reaching down and directing the lives of millions.
Let me see past the hard exterior of the world and see your love keeping all of reality in its place.
O Lord, we think we know what is going on about us, yet we do not.
We think we see greatness, yet we do not see what is behind all things.
We think we have power, yet we do not.
In our blindness and in our search for your truth in our darkness, show us what is real.
Show us your spirit.
Show us your love.
Thank you, Lord Jesus.
I love you, O Lord.
I adore you, Precious One.
All these things I humbly pray.
