A Prayer To See Past Your Temptation

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
I am tempted, Lord.
My temptation is blinding me to what you want from me.
My temptation is blinding me to what you want me to do and to be.
My temptation is eroding my faith.
My temptation is torturing my soul.
In this dark hour of my distress, help me see you.
Help me see you standing next to me.
Help me hear your sweet voice speaking to me.
Help me see I don't just live now, but I will live on into eternity because of you.
Help me see your sacrifice upon the cross for me so I can also sacrifice myself to remain holy, godly, and devout for you.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
Amen
