A Prayer For Strength When Reaching Out To Help  People In Need

Precious Father,
Precious Lord Jesus,
Wonderful Holy Spirit,
Masses of humanity cover the globe in a humanitarian crisis.
I see the people in need all around me here at home.
My heart goes out to people in need.
My heart aches for them.
Precious Lord, when I reach out to them, help my heart go out to people in need just as your heart goes out to them.
Rather than being weak in my desire to help, empower me to be strong.
Never let me want to help people in need for selfish reasons.
Never let me want to help people in need to somehow help myself.
Inspire me to help people in need only because they need the help and you want me to help them.
Inspire me to empower people in need to carry their burdens with your strength and with your power.
Show me how to love the poor and downtrodden as you love them.
Show me how to love the rich and powerful as you love them.
In the name of God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit who lives within me and touches me,
