Prayer No. 2 To Hear God Say "I Love You"

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit, Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
I know this is selfish of me, but I want to hear you tell me you love me.
When I put my heart in the right place I know I will hear you say these words.
Help me now to be humble in order for me to receive your love.
Help me now to be contrite in order for me to receive your love.
Help me understand it is not a matter of what I hear you say with my ears that makes any difference.
Help me understand it is always a matter of what I hear you say in my spirit and with my heart that makes your love real.
Your power of love often eludes me.
Your power of love often seems to be lacking in me.
Help me take full responsibility for putting my heart, spirit, and soul in the right place to hear you tell me you love me.
Help me take full responsibility for putting my heart, spirit, and soul at the foot of your cross so I can be made ready to experience the outpouring of love you have for me.
Help me take full responsibility for putting my heart, spirit, and soul on your path every day so we can walk together and talk together as I learn more fully how to hear your sweet words, "I love you."
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
I will always love you, even if I am never able to hear you say to me that you love me back.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
