A Prayer About Trusting In The Future
Most Precious Lord Jesus…
Gentle And Wonderful God…
Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit…
You know me Lord.
You know I am always a little paranoid about the future.
I am always full of insecurity and doubt.
Of course, based on my past, I have big reasons to feel insecure about the
future.
Instead of my thinking about the future in my earthly and worldly terms,
help me look to the future and see you.
Help me see you smiling when I get up tomorrow morning.
Help me see your power flowing down from heaven when I eat breakfast.
Help me see your love as I move toward noon.
Help me bask in the glow of your grace in the afternoon.
Help me see all the blessings you have given me in the evening time.
Just before I nod off for the night, help me see every day of my future,
my future now on the earth and my future later in Heaven is full, secure,
and loaded down with peace, joy, and glory.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely.
