A Prayer To Turn To God When Evil Strikes
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And
Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
When evil strikes in my life and in the world in which I live, keep my
attention upon you and not upon the evil.
When evil strikes, keep my eyes upon you and not upon the evil.
When evil strikes, do not let evil put a hook in me.
When evil strikes and does put a hook in me, help me to remove the hook by
seeing how much you love me.
Help me to remove the hook evil can put in me by always staying close to
you as I recall how you died on the cross to set me free.
When I am attracted to evil because evil seems to have taken over my will,
always turn me to you. Turn me to your sacrifice for me.
Keep me turning away from evil. Keep me turned toward you every day of my
life.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely.
