A Prayer For Victory Over Poverty

Precious Lord Jesus, Wonderful Holy Spirit, Awesome God,
I love you, Lord Jesus.
O Precious Lord Jesus,
I look before me and see poverty, strife, and a desolate future.
I yearn to see the plenty of your blessings but see only more impoverishment coming to take away all I have.
At this moment, show me the true blessings of my life are not from the material things of earth.
Show me the true blessings of my life are poured out for me from your heavenly home.
Show me how your heavenly blessings are always before me in every circumstance.
In this time when I have lost so many of my physical possessions, lift up my head to new possibilities of possessing the infinite in you.
In this hour when all my hope seems to have gone away from me, fill my heart with new hope.
In this moment when I see only emptiness before me, show me the outpouring of your love filling my soul to overflowing.
In this time of fear, instill in me a calm spirit.
Bring to me the encouragement of your strength and wisdom.
If it is your will, help me rebuild and reform what I have lost.
Help me help others regain what they have lost.
When worry weighs me down and takes away all my joy because of my impoverishment, bring me humor and laughter at the folly of my soul.
Give me a view of what I can do for you regardless of my need.
As it is your will, grant me the power to take this hour of my need and turn this hour into moments of glory for others.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
